Build Busselton | Horizon Church

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Significant things happen when people align their hearts in partnership. The Bible tells us there is a greater level of effectiveness, support, fervency in the mission, and protection. We're so glad that together as a church, we get to partner in God’s purposes.

In June, we will participate in an initiative called Build Offering, happening across all Horizon Church campuses. This is an exciting opportunity to see a practical expression of our partnership outworked here in Busselton.

The people within the Busselton region need Jesus. Many have never heard of the love of God or even set foot in a church. God has called us to be witnesses and to offer hope to the people around us. We are lights in a dark place, pointing people to Jesus. Together as we partner in the Gospel, we can expect to see these same people experiencing Jesus for themselves.

Looking back over the last year or so, it has been so encouraging to see what God has been doing in Horizon Church Busselton and her people. Since our last Build Offering in 2025, we have had the privilege of seeing 15 people make a first decision to follow Jesus, and several others make a recommitment. God is clearly drawing people to a place of hope and belonging. As a church, we continue to see an exciting shift as more young adults join us. In addition, our Kids ministry continues to grow, and by the grace of God, we now also have an amazing facility for our Junior Kids program.

Of course, there is so much more God wants us to step into. And if we are going to reach more people in our community, we need to prepare by trusting God, but we also need to take steps of faith. James reminds us that “faith without action is dead.”- James 2:26.

This year, we are going to increase our capacity and effectiveness in evangelism. We are going to become great at sharing the “God stories” that happen every week at Horizon Church Busselton, as well as lifting the profile of the church in our community.

Practically, this will involve purchasing media equipment, training volunteers, and maximising exposure through careful, discreet, and strategic social media. All of this will help to capture the hearts of the precious souls in our community. Let’s be open and willing to share how amazing our Saviour truly is. Let’s allow God to stir our faith to see the salvation of many lives for His glory.

Our prayer is that, as you read about our Build Offering for Busselton, God will stir faith in your heart to actively participate, so that together we can see a difference made in the lives of the people in our community.

God is our faithful provider, and He seeks those who will follow His lead and touch the lives of many. Let’s have a childlike faith, sow into the lives of people in our location, and see a generation rise up in the love and power of God.
