As we enter our 2026 Build Offering season, we are thankful for the incredible season of growth, strength and momentum we are experiencing as a church. We are grateful for God’s faithfulness and full of expectation for all He is going to do in the year ahead.

We are believing for God to supply, through the generosity of His people, the funds needed to continue faithfully paying down the loan principal and interest on our Sutherland building, while also strengthening and advancing the worship life of our church. This includes investing into the spaces, technology and resources that help create an atmosphere where people can encounter the presence of God in a powerful and meaningful way. From improving production and audio systems, to enhancing the overall Sunday experience, these investments will help us continue creating a church environment that inspires faith, encourages people in their discipleship journey and makes room for many more lives to be impacted by Jesus.

Thank you for your continued faith, generosity and commitment to building God’s House together. We believe this vision is only possible because of the strength and unity of our church family. As Ecclesiastes 4 reminds us, “a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Together, as we each play our part, we are building a strong and faith-filled future for generations to come.

With love,

SUTHERLAND DEBT REDUCTION JOURNEY

Over the last 12 months, we have been intentional and faithful in our commitment to reducing the Sutherland building debt. Through the generosity of our church family, we have met all repayments and the debt has now been reduced to just over $1.1 million.

As we move through 2026, we remain committed to wise stewardship, continued debt reduction, and strengthening the foundations that will support the ongoing ministry and future growth of Horizon Church.

Scripture is clear that God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). When the church gathers and lifts its voice, something happens beyond what is visible - God draws near and the atmosphere shifts. Worship is not only what we offer to God; it becomes the environment in which He moves, speaks, heals and transforms.

For those exploring faith, worship is often the first honest moment of encounter. Before the message is preached or theology is explained, worship creates space for the heart to open before the mind has resolved what to believe. Investing in that moment - through clear sound, intentional atmosphere, and leaders who model authenticity - is not about production value, but about removing barriers between a searching soul and a living God.

We are grateful for what has already been entrusted to us and have stewarded our equipment with care, diligence and a strong commitment to excellence. However, as the demands of our spaces continue to grow, we are now at a point where we need to future-proof our systems. Strategic upgrades to our audio, visual and lighting infrastructure will ensure we are not only maintaining standards, but positioning ourselves well for the next season of growth and opportunity.

Each year, nearly 10,000 people from the wider community utilise our facilities through Horizon Convention Centre for events, dance concerts, school groups, training seminars, and community programs.

This growing level of engagement has naturally elevated our public profile within the community. Investing in our worship and production capabilities will ensure our audio, visual, and lighting systems continue to meet an industry standard that reflects the excellence we strive to uphold for the benefit of our local community and beyond.

This investment is not simply about keeping pace with increasing demand; it is about continuing to open doors - both physically and spiritually - for people to encounter something meaningful when they step into our church.

Worship creates a unity that few other experiences can replicate. When people lift their eyes to the same God and declare the same truth, something is formed between them. A church that worships together learns to stay together, to carry one another and to endure seasons of challenge with shared strength and faith.

Encounter with God is not incidental to what we do - it is at the core. We want to continue creating spaces where worship is distraction-free, engaging and spiritually impactful, and your partnership helps sustain that level of excellence week after week. When we steward worship well, we are not building a better service, we are building a people who know how to find God, and who keep coming back because they have tasted that He is good.
